Humanitarian Technologies Faculty

Humanitarian technologies is the only Faculty in the H.A.S. University, which gives "Anthropology" speciality. The period of studiing is 4 years (5 years if the bachelor degree is missing). After university graduation the students get state standart diploma with "Anthropology" specialty. At the moment more then 100 students are studying at the High Anthropological School University.

Head of the Humanitarian Technologies Faculty

Igor S. Fonari, Doctor of Philosophy, senior research associate.
Born in 1960. In 1991 upheld thesis in the sphere of philosophical problems of natural science and technics in Moscow. In 1992 – 1993 – participant of Structural Psychology training by the method of active self-regulation awarded with instructor diploma (Kiev). In 1993 - UNESCO probationperiod in Paris studying problems of planning in education in Perfection of Planning Institute. In 1995-2000 – head of Philosophical problems of Ecology Department in the Republic of Moldova Academy of Sciences Philosophy and Sociology Institute. Since 2000 I.S. Fonari is an active pedagogical functioner. Participant of more than 30 national conferences and 7 conferences abroad – in St. Petersburg, Kiev, Sozopol, Iasi, Odessa, Tirgu-Mures, International Philosophical Congress in Moscow. Author of more than 40 scientific publications, including 2 monographies.
Scientific Interests: Psychology of Sbject Formation, New technologies in the Education, Psychotechnologies of Modern Management, Career Projection and Social Adaptation of Youth.

In the academic activity of Administration and Informational Technologies Department staff there are the following priority directions: modern informational technologies, mathematical modelling of ecological processes, processes of production in the organizations improvement, management, informational technologies in reaching decisions.

Department's head


Boris P. Rybakin, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics.
Born in 1949. From 1974 till 1977 was functioning as an ingeneer in Republic of Moldova Academy of Science Institute of Mathematics. From 1981 till 1987 – junior research associate in Republic of Moldova Academy of Science Institute of Mathematics. In 1986-1987 – scientific adviser of «Mathematical Modeling of the Process of the Elastic Plastic Wave Propagation in Multilayered Media Under Impulse Load» project. From 1987 til 1993 – upholds «Difusion of blast wave in heterogeneous elastic plastic environment» thesis. In 1988-1990 – scientific adviser of «Numerical modeling of hyper-velocity throwing at rigid body»project; in 1987-1992 - head of «ZOND» project; in 1989-1990 - head of «The numerically researches of processes of splitting at impulse and explosive loading» project. In 1993-1994 – senior research associate in Republic of Moldova Academy of Science Institute of Mathematics. From 1994 till 2001 was functioning as assistant professor in Republic of Moldova Academy of Science. Since 2000 functions as head of Administration and Informational Technologies Department in the High Anthropological School.
Scientific interests: nuclear explosion blast waves effect processes on elastic plastic environements, nuclear explosion models in soft soil near the free surface, mathematical modelling and computer programming for solving tasks of hyper-velocity micrometeorites collisions with spaceship sheeting to model crater formation and multi-layered barriers piercing, modeling of the process of solid waste biogas generation, creation of parallel methods and algorithms for multiprocessing systems.

European Civilizations Department

Scientific activity of the European Civilizations Department demonstrates community of civilizational approaches to the history of cultures, ethnoses and cultural historic worlds of various historical periods: first civilizations of the East, Laten and Roman periods, medieval Europe, History of Moldova in the period of turks-fanariots invasion and first decades of Bessarabia as a part of Russian Empire.

Speciality: History of European culture and European institutes

Anatol P. Gorodenko, Doctor of History.
Born in 1959. In 1987 graduated from the State University of Moldova Department of History. In the same year – probation period in Academy of Sciences of USSR laboratory of Ceramics in Moscow. In 1992 – 1996 – postgraduate studies in «Alexandru Ion Cuza» University in Iasi. In 1996 successfully upheld «Ceramics from Old Orhei XIV-XVI cc.» doctoral thesis in Braila (Romania). Since 1987 – research officeer in Republic of Moldova Academy of Sciences Institute of archaeology. Participant and conductor of more than 25 expeditions, takes part in national and internationa; profile conferences. Author of about 30 scientific works. Since 1998 A.P.Gorodenko – member of High Anthropological School academic staff. A.P. Gorodenko is editor-in-chief of Collectors Club periodical «Labyrinth».
Scientific interests: pre-state period of Moldavian State, early Middle Ages in Moldova, role of trade in Medieval History.

Anthropology and Social Technologies department

Scientific activity of Anthropology and Social Technologies department staff is aimed at studying cultural mechanisms ensuring human’s understanding and adaptation in difficult conditions, first of all in conditions of cultural contact and crisis areas – beginning with South Eastern Europe of Neolith Epoch, Iron Age and traditional societies of the East till the contemporary behaviour of people in economical and social activities. Conscious and archetypic conceptions ruling over the human, it’s functional mechanisms in non-standard cultural and historical conditions are in the center of attention.

Born in 1959. In 1995-1999 works for Doctor’s degree in Republic of Moldova Academy of Science archaeology and Ethnology Institute. In 2003 successfully upholding of «Typology of traditional East Civilizations» thesis. Author of about 20 scientific works, including «Anthropology of Civilizations» and «Man in front of Culture» courses of lectures.
Scientific Interests: Philosophy of Cultures, Mythology, Languages and Cultures of East, historical geography.

Linguistics and Intercultural Communications Department

Lingvo-cultural approach in teaching foreign languages, understanding and translation of original texts is consolidated in scientific activity of Linguistics and Intercultural Communications Department staff. Lecturers of the H.A.S. philology department conduct scientific reasearches in several directions: lingvoculturology, ethnoculturology, sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, psycholinguistics.

Graduated M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Biology Department with biophysics degree. In 1991 upheld thesis, candidate of chemical science. Since 1992 – scientific associate in the State University of Moldova. Since 1993 conducts psychological trainings, seminars for diverse categories of population in the framework of social organizations activity. From 2000 – Biology Department lecturer of Institute of Real Sciences, University of Criminology.
Scientific Interests: Humanistic psychology, Existentional Psychology, psychology of Creative work, Social adaptation and professional directing of youth, harmonic development of personality and self-regulation.
