«European community: export
of political stability in Eastern Europe» conference |
On December 18th, 2003, «European
community: export of political stability in Eastern Europe»
conference took place:
Break-up of the Soviet civilization
gave birth to the common problems in its cultural outlyings
– Moldova, Kazakhstan, Baltic States, some new-born countries
of the Eastern and Central Europe faced the problem of citizens'
identity, ethnic conflicts, development of their own history,
and the task to develop a common strategy program.
These, as well as many other problems,
caused constant uncertainty and instability.
European Union has a general complex
of tools regulating stability in Moldavian state organization
development. Among those, there are international economic
and political organizations, European security structures,
export of the western system of values, etc. All these means
are polysemantic and must be discussed.
Besides all common problems, Moldova
has a particular specific character. It is the meeting point
of diverse cultural worlds.
That is why the question of strategic
development is most crucial for Moldova.
This year Modova declared its priority
for European integration. Why European integration?
Reports were presented by Minister
of Economy Marian Lupu, advisor to President on economic
issues Oleg Reidman, political analyst Sergiu Mocanu and
the High Anthropological School's lecturer Alexei Romanciuc.
Other participants of the
conference were: President Cabinet's staff, representatives
of the executive power – Minister of Re-integration Vasilii
Sova, public and youth organizations – «World as Mirror
for Moldova», Students' Union of Moldova, «Students and
Youth union of Transnistria» and «Liga nationala de dezbateri»
